Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Vietnamese Language Instructor to join a mission-focused team delivering high-quality language instruction and assessment services in a security-sensitive environment. The role emphasizes cultural and linguistic fluency, adult-learning methodologies, and a commitment to excellence within Leidos Intel Sector.

The instructor will deliver daily instruction, conduct proficiency testing, and develop tailored training materials while supporting career development and sponsorship

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s degree with 2–10 years
• Minimum of 2 years of direct teaching experience
• Degree must be obtained in the U.S. or in a country where the target language is natively spoken
• Proficient in MS Office and basic internet research
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and the foreign language

Responsibilities

• Deliver 3–5 hours of daily instruction in ILR 0–3
• Complete training and become a certified language tester with 3–4 proficiency assessments weekly
• Instruct students in speaking a foreign language and understanding the culture
• Develop class materials and training aids to meet student needs
• Work under the direction of senior trained instructors
• Stay aware of current events in countries where the language is spoken
