Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Language Instructor to lead Japanese and Vietnamese courses, delivering daily instruction and assessing proficiency. The role emphasizes language pedagogy, culture, and advanced testing, in a mission-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, foreign language, or linguistics with 8–12 years of relevant experience or Master’s with 2–10 years.
• Minimum of 10 years of adult teaching experience.
• Must score 90% or higher on the English test.
• Senior level proficiency expected.
• Degree must be obtained in the U.S. or in a country where the target language is natively spoken.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 3–5 hours of daily instruction (ILR 0–3).
• Complete training and become a certified language tester; conduct 3–4 proficiency assessments weekly.
• Instruct students in speaking a foreign language and teach culture through communication.
• Develop class materials and training aids to meet student needs.
