Job summary

SOSi is seeking a Vietnamese Instructor in Northern Virginia to deliver professional language instruction, including lesson planning, delivery, and assessment of learning for adult students.

The role requires native or near-native Vietnamese capability, a Bachelor’s degree in Education or Language, and at least five years of experience in foreign language instruction, with strong English communication and classroom technology use.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Language, or related field.
• Minimum five years of adult language instruction experience.
• Native or near-native Vietnamese with ILR SLR 5, TA 3.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using language learning technology and teaching methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Vietnamese instruction to adults in Northern Virginia, planning and assessing lessons.
• Develop curricula and lesson plans for beginner to advanced levels.
• Provide feedback and consult with clients to support student success.
• Assess learners’ proficiency using ILR standards.
• Complete instructor certifications and maintain security requirements.
