Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County's Metro Nashville Police Department is seeking an IS Communications Analyst 3 - IT Video Evidence Technician to install, swap hardware, configure video systems, and support uploads to the Video Evidence Management System.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in information technology services.
• Experience with video management systems, cameras, NVRs, or network communications.
• Knowledge of communications equipment, software, and electrical test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provides installation, hardware swaps, configuration and ongoing usability support of BWC and In-Car Video Evidence Management devices and software.
• Diagnoses and resolves issues related to BWC and In-Car components and software.
• Performs network troubleshooting to and from BWC/In-Car system components, remotely when possible.
• Monitors and supports video evidence uploads, including WiFi uploading and dock maintenance.
• Offers timely customer support to minimize officer time out-of-service.
• Acts as liaison between users, system admins, and Police IT staff to resolve problems.
• Ensures device interconnectivity with related devices, servers, and applications.
• Assists with training internal IT staff and customers on hardware/software usage.
• Maintains inventory of hardware/software resources and up-to-date assignments.
