Job summary

Metro Nashville Police Department is seeking an IS Communications Analyst 3 specialized as an IT Video Evidence Technician. The role involves hardware/software support for body-worn and in-car cameras, uploading evidence to the Police Department's Video Evidence Management System, and collaboration with Police IT staff to resolve issues.

Candidate must pass MNPD background checks. A valid driver's license is required and the department emphasizes equal opportunity employment and accommodating

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in information technology services or related field.
• Additional IT-related education may substitute for some experience (1:1).
• Experience with video evidence systems, cameras, NVRs, and network components preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide installation, hardware swaps, and ongoing support for BWC and In-Car video devices and software.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with video devices and software components.
• Perform network troubleshooting to/from video systems, including remote support.
• Monitor video evidence uploading processes and maintain upload docks at locations.
• Deliver strong customer support to minimize officer downtime.
• Coordinate with system admins and Police IT staff to resolve problems.
