Job summary

Chubby Media LLC is seeking a part-time Remote Video Editor with a keen eye for food content to craft short-form videos for our dining brands. You will shape videos across platforms, focusing on food and brand storytelling with strong post-production skills.

The role requires fluency in English and Mandarin, experience with social media trends, and the ability to deliver edits independently. Flexible schedule and commission-based pay with a guaranteed minimum wage are offered.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese with strong understanding of U.S. social media culture.
• Proficient with CapCut or Premiere Pro for video editing.
• Experience editing short-form video and knowledge of Instagram/TikTok/Xiaohongshu (RedNote).
• Ability to deliver high-quality edits independently and on deadline.

Responsibilities

• Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Xiaohongshu, and other platforms.
• Produce post-production content for food, dining experiences, and brand campaigns.
• Optimize pacing, captions, graphics, and thumbnails for each platform.
• Highlight signature dishes and brand identities through sequencing and music.

Chubby Media is the in-house marketing division of Chubby Group, a multi-brand restaurant group that includes The X Pot, NIKU X, Chubby Cattle, Chubby Skewers, Wagyu Factory, and other high-end dining concepts. Our team handles creative strategy, content production, influencer collaborations, and brand storytelling across all Chubby Group locations in the U.S. and globally.

Position Overview

We are seeking a part-time Video Editor with a strong eye for food content and a feel for social media trends. In this role, you will edit short-form videos that showcase our dishes, dining experiences, and brand stories. These are mouthwatering, lifestyle-driven, fast-paced videos that capture what makes each restaurant special. This is a remote, part-time position.

Employment Details

• Hiring Entity: Chubby Media
• Work Location: Remote
• Employment Type: Part-Time
• Pay Rate: Commission-based, (based on experience and qualifications), with a guaranteed minimum of at least the applicable minimum wage for all hours worked. Subject to applicable federal, state, and local tax withholding. Commission terms will be provided in a written agreement.

• Start Date: Upon onboarding completion. All required pre-employment notices and documents will be provided at or before the start date, as required by law.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Xiaohongshu (RedNote), and other platforms.
• Produce post-production for food, dining experience, brand promotion, and creative videos across Chubby Group brands.
• Optimize pacing, captions, graphics, and thumbnails for each platform.
• Use shot sequencing, music, and captions to highlight signature dishes and each brand’s identity, and support the team with general post-production.

Qualifications

• Proficient in CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar editing software.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, with a strong understanding of U.S. social media culture and content styles.
• Experience editing short-form video, with a strong sense of social media trends and familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and Xiaohongshu (RedNote).
• Strong aesthetic sense and sense of rhythm, with the ability to edit videos independently from start to finish.
• Reliable, communicative, and able to deliver on deadline.

Preferred Skills

• Interest in food, dining, and restaurant content. Related experience is preferred.
