We're a well-established, founder-led food business in Connecticut looking for one person to own the production side of our social media content across two channels.
What you'll do
- Edit short-form video (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) from start to finish. This is the core of the job.
- Edit longer YouTube-style videos from longer recordings
- Film on location with a camera and phone, with some shoots in person and some footage sent to you
- Publish and schedule content natively on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube, adjusting format, captions, and tone for each platform
- Add captions and text overlays
- Keep an organized content calendar and footage library
- Keep up with trending audio and formats and pitch ideas for how we can use them
- Take creative direction on voice and tone, with final approval from the founder
You're a fit if
- Have a strong editing portfolio covering both short-form and longer-form video (short-form matters most)
- Have hands-on editing experience in CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or similar software
- Are comfortable filming with a camera and a phone, and can be on-site some days
- Can find the story in raw footage and cut with good pacing
- Know how each platform works, including what performs on TikTok versus LinkedIn versus YouTube
- Are organized, reliable, and hit deadlines without being chased
- Know which trends fit a food brand and which don't
- Take direction well and still bring your own ideas
Nice to have:
food or hospitality content experience, scheduling tools like Metricool, clip-generation tools like Opus Clip.
