Job summary

The Consolidated Municipality of Carson City is seeking a full-time Victim & Witness Assistance Specialist for the District Attorney's Office in Carson City, Nevada. You will provide information on the criminal justice system, assist victims and witnesses through processes, and coordinate interviews and referrals.

Responsibilities include data entry, preparing reports, and maintaining case files while supporting a professional team in a dynamic public service environment.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to two years of college level coursework in criminal justice, sociology, psychology or related field.
• Two years of full-time experience in a legal or court support function.

Responsibilities

• Provide information on the criminal justice system, restitution policies, court processes and case status to victims and witnesses.
• Perform data entry and office support tasks to assist the program.
• Coordinate interviews and arrange travel, lodging and property return.
• Assist victims in obtaining compensation and restitution and refer to community resources.
