The City of Waco is seeking an experienced Victim Services Coordinator for the Waco Police Department. You will coordinate the volunteer program, recruit volunteers, review cases, and assist crime victims while maintaining confidentiality.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree in a related field and have at least two years of human services experience. The role may require after-hours responses and driving a City vehicle.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Social Work, Psychology or a related field.
• 2 years experience in human services or a related setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilités

• Plans and coordinates volunteer activities; recruits and trains volunteers.
• Provides ongoing crisis counseling and follow-up to victims.
• Reviews police reports and victim files; determines victims' needs.
• Communicates with victims about criminal proceedings and available programs.
• Provides direct on-scene services and referrals; tracks services and outcomes.
• May respond after-hours during emergencies.
• Operates city vehicle to transport people and materials.
