Job summary

The Cheyenne Police Department seeks a Police Victim Assistance Coordinator to lead the Victim Assistance Program in a full-time, non-exempt role at the 38 Police Department in Cheyenne, WY.

The coordinator supervises staff, manages budgets and grants, ensures compliance across multiple funding streams, and coordinates with state and local agencies to assist victims and survivors through the justice system.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Experience communicating with others in a compassionate and non-judgemental manner.
• At least 3 years of experience in advocacy or human services.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Criminal Justice with 3 years advocacy experience.
• Grant writing and management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Victim Assistance staff and volunteers.
• Monitor Victim Assistance budget and coordinate with department accountant.
• Ensure grant compliance across funding streams.
• Prepare fiscal and performance reports for funding sources.
• Develop grant proposals for program funding.
