Job summary

The Oklahoma District Attorneys Council is seeking a Victims Services Assistant to provide administrative and claims support for the Victims Division. The role requires empathy, strong communication, and confidentiality while assisting with inquiries and processing claims.

Under the Victims Division Director, you will use the OK VCPMS system, maintain monthly logs, and ensure timely responses to victims statewide. A background in legal or social services is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years in an office environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Adaptability and crisis-response experience.
  • Ability to interact with victims of violent crime with empathy.
  • Four years of experience in legal or social services, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls and route to appropriate recipients.
  • Provide information about victims’ compensation and assistance programs.
  • Assist victim/witness personnel with claim status information.
  • Support OK VCPMS claims management system users.
  • Maintain logs and reports for performance measurement tools.
  • Process mail and document handling; update addresses as needed.
  • Monitor claim status and inform victims of available resources.
  • Provide backup for claim entry procedures and filing duties.
