Lifepoint Health is seeking an executive to lead enterprise recruitment and contracting for physicians, APPs, and providers under professional services agreements. You will align workforce planning with growth, patient access, and care delivery, while scaling recruitment and onboarding across multiple markets.

Job description

Develop and execute enterprise recruitment and contracting strategies for employed physicians, advanced practice professionals, and providers with professional services agreements
Align provider workforce planning with enterprise growth, patient access, succession, and care delivery priorities
Develop scalable recruiting and contracting models, workforce planning methodologies, and market-level recruitment objectives
Provide executive leadership for physician and APP recruitment teams responsible for sourcing, candidate engagement, site visits, selection, offer development, and hiring
Implement sourcing, branding, marketing, and outreach strategies to improve candidate generation, pipeline diversity, and recruitment effectiveness
Partner with Graduate Medical Education programs, professional associations, academic institutions, and external organizations to establish provider pipelines and candidate experience standards
Lead provider contracting processes, including offers, term sheets, contract reviews, approvals, execution, renewals, and amendments
Establish contracting governance frameworks, standardized workflows, approval and escalation pathways, and documentation standards
Partner with finance, legal, physician compensation, and operational leaders on contract development and negotiations
Ensure provider contracting complies with fair market value, commercial reasonableness, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and other applicable requirements
Define provider onboarding ownership, handoffs, timelines, and escalation pathways with operations, credentialing, payer enrollment, IT, People Services, and market leadership
Establish onboarding standards from recruitment through clinical integration, initial productivity, and provider satisfaction
Monitor onboarding performance and improve start dates, integration, engagement, and time-to-productivity
Support provider retention initiatives, workforce stability strategies, and proactive engagement programs
Use workforce analytics, exit data, engagement results, and other indicators to identify turnover risks and implement interventions
Establish KPIs, reporting structures, service level expectations, and accountability mechanisms for recruitment, contracting, onboarding, and retention
Use data and analytics to improve process efficiency, workforce optimization, and operational performance
Develop enterprise dashboards covering workforce demand, recruitment pipelines, contract status, onboarding readiness, retention, and operational barriers
Lead, develop, and retain geographically dispersed provider recruitment and contracting teams
Build partnerships with executive, operational, clinical, finance, legal, compliance, compensation, and People Services stakeholders

Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Health Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH), Human Resources Management, Health Services Administration or a related field
  • Relevant professional certification or advanced leadership development in healthcare, physician enterprise operations, provider recruitment, or human resources preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare provider recruitment, physician enterprise operations, workforce management, medical group operations, or related healthcare leadership roles
  • 5+ years leading multi-site, geographically dispersed provider recruitment and contracting teams
  • Experience in integrated health systems, physician enterprises, medical group services organizations, or multi-market healthcare organizations preferred
  • Demonstrated success recruiting physicians and advanced practice professionals across multiple specialties, practice settings, and markets
  • Proven experience developing enterprise provider workforce strategies supporting organizational growth and access objectives
  • Successful track record leading organizational change, standardizing processes, and improving enterprise performance through scalable operating models
  • Strong knowledge of provider compensation methodologies, physician employment agreements, contract negotiations, healthcare workforce trends, and provider recruitment best practices
  • Ability to partner effectively with legal, finance, physician leadership, operations, executive teams, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to use workforce analytics and performance metrics to improve recruitment, contracting, onboarding, retention, and operational performance
  • Strong executive communication, relationship-building, negotiation, strategic planning, change leadership, and team development skills
  • Compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and hospital and department policies, procedures, and standards
  • Support for the mission, vision, values, and goals of the hospital and Lifepoint Health
  • Positive, proactive, and professional interactions with employees, leaders, physicians, patients, visitors, and community partners
  • Maintains confidentiality and complies with HIPAA requirements
  • Accountability for workplace safety and timely completion of assigned education, training, and mandatory requirements
  • Maintains required licensure, certification, and professional credentials, if applicable, in good standing
  • Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
