Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior physician recruiting professional to oversee the end-to-end recruitment cycle for AMSURG practice partners. You will build relationships with operations leadership, analyze market needs, and develop sourcing strategies to fill physician roles.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in recruitment, strong negotiation and data-analysis skills, and deep knowledge of physician compensation practices (MGMA, AGMA, Sullivan Cotter).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years in recruiting or 20+ years non-clinical recruiting.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Bullhorn or similar ATS.
  • Understanding of medical specialties and physician practices.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working independently and in teams.
  • Knowledge of physician compensation resources (MGMA, AGMA, Sullivan Cotter).
  • Adherence to company policies and mandatory training.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the physician and provider recruitment cycle from start to finish.
  • Develop, maintain, and expand relationships with AMSURG Practice Partners and Operations Leadership Team in assigned markets.
  • Analyze physician volume and practice needs.
  • Consult on and assist with practice strategic recruitment plans.
  • Recommend recruitment and alignment strategies.
  • Develop and implement candidate sourcing strategies.
  • Profile practices and determine recruitment potential for new opportunities.
  • Maintain knowledge of assigned practice markets, statistics, demographics, competitors, and state licensure timelines.
  • Assess physician compensation plans against market data and regional trends.
  • Source and manage prospective physician and provider recruits from lead generation through hiring.
  • Contact leads through cold calling and email.
  • Maintain accurate job descriptions and advertising promotions.
  • Follow and provide input on candidate-throughput processes.
  • Network with specialty associations, recruiting resources, and residency/fellowship programs.
  • Discuss vacancies with prospective candidates and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Manage on-site practice interviews as needed.
  • Recommend sourcing, interviewing, and contract-closing strategies.
  • Negotiate and support negotiations with prospective candidates.
  • Provide prompt updates and communication during contract negotiations.
  • Work within recruitment budgets.
  • Ensure complete candidate data entry in the proprietary database.
  • Maintain job knowledge through education, professional publications, networking, and professional organizations.
  • Provide routine transparent updates on candidate and practice activity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Report suspected compliance, policy, harassment, or prohibited-activity violations and obtain policy clarification when needed.

Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year College or University and 7 or more years of related experience; or 20+ years of non-clinical recruiting or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience with recruitment/applicant tracking systems, preferably Bullhorn

  • Proficiency in understanding the day-to-day work of the medical specialties and physician practices represented by AMSURG

  • Proficiency in the local and regional communities where AMSURG owns and/or manages practices

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

  • Experience working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Strong interpersonal, account management, and project management skills

  • Ability to make decisions in a rapidly growing, professional, service-oriented environment

  • Knowledge of recruitment terminology, specialty terminology, and abbreviations

  • Knowledge of physician compensation resources and guidelines, including MGMA, AGMA, and Sullivan Cotter

  • Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, code of conduct, ethics statements, corporate mandates, and mandatory training requirements
