About the Opportunity:

The client is seeking a Vice President of Software Engineering to define and execute its technical vision, leading a world-class team to deliver scalable, high-quality software.

This role is ideal for a strategic technology leader who thrives in high-growth environments and wants to make a real impact in healthcare. You’ll align technology with business objectives, scale the engineering organization, and foster a culture of excellence and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and Lead: Scale and manage a high-performing engineering team.
• Champion Agile Practices: Drive lean and agile methodologies across teams.
• Ensure Technical Excellence: Oversee software development, infrastructure, DevOps, and security.
• Define Strategy: Collaborate with the CTO and senior leaders to execute the technology roadmap.
• Support Compliance: Implement processes aligned with healthcare regulations.
• Develop Leaders: Mentor and support engineering managers and technical leads.
• Operational Excellence: Optimize processes to support growth and minimize waste.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align engineering priorities with Product, Clinical, and Commercial teams.
• Metrics & Improvement: Establish KPIs to drive quality, reliability, and performance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience scaling engineering teams in fast-paced, Agile environments.
• Strong grasp of lean principles, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), and full-stack development.
• Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or medical devices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strategic problem-solver with a data-driven approach.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid growth.

Preferred Experience:

• Background working in cardiology or cardiology-related technologies.
• Familiarity with diagnostic imaging workflows and tools.
• Exposure to clinical environments, EMRs, and PACS.
• Experience building products in FDA-regulated settings.
