Founding Engineer / VP of Engineering

On-Site | New York City (Manhattan)

Are you passionate about building scalable systems and working with cutting-edge technology? We're looking for a Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, or VP of Engineering to join our team in NYC.

What You’ll Be Working On:

• 90/10 backend-to-frontend split – Our primary stack is AWS (must-have), TypeScript (backend), and React (frontend).
• 80/20 new development vs. refactoring – Build new systems while optimizing for scalability.
• Scalability-focused engineering – Design and implement large-scale distributed systems.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience building and scaling systems – You’ve worked on high-scale, high-performance architectures.
• AWS expertise – Deep understanding of AWS infrastructure and best practices.
• Excitement for AI – While you don’t need hands-on AI experience, you should be genuinely excited about its impact.

Bonus Points for:

• Web scraping experience
• Work on search/news products
