Responsibilities

Software engineers focus on software design and development, covering most programming positions in Engineering, including business software engineers, platform engineers, and quality assurance engineers. Use open source software, databases, cloud solutions, and programming languages to solve problems and develop scalable applications that provide insights for our business and clients.

As a software engineer, you will transform Goldman Sachs by applying your technical expertise. Collaborate with trading, sales, asset management, banking, finance, and other teams to build and automate solutions, maintaining our firm's competitive edge. Join our core engineering teams to provide reliable, scalable platforms for data engineering, machine learning, networking, developer tooling, and collaboration.

Innovate with UI/UX designers, data scientists, cloud engineers, and others in a collaborative, agile environment where your enthusiasm for new challenges will have an immediate impact.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
• Strong object-oriented or functional analysis and design skills
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization
• Excellent communication skills
• Problem-solving ability and data-driven decision making
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work in a global team
• Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for problem-solving and product development
• 7+ years of software development experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest or knowledge in trading technologies in a trading organization’s front-office
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field

Salary Range

$150,000 - $250,000 plus discretionary bonus.
