Within Health is transforming eating disorder treatment through our industry-first telehealth platform, intentionally designed to deliver fully remote care at the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) levels.

The Opportunity

We’ve validated our care model and achieved strong clinical outcomes. Now, we’re entering an exciting phase of scale—and technology is central to that growth. We’re seeking a VP of Engineering to lead our engineering organization through this next chapter, with a focus on platform scalability, innovation, and operational excellence.

In this role, you’ll be both a strategic leader and a hands-on partner—driving our technology roadmap, elevating the patient and provider experience, and enhancing the internal systems that support our mission.

You’ll oversee three core technology areas:

• Patient Experience – Build and refine the digital touchpoints that enable patients to access world-class care in a fully remote setting.
• Provider Experience & EHR Platform – Strengthen the tools and systems that empower our clinical teams to deliver care efficiently and effectively.
• Internal Tools – Optimize the critical infrastructure that keeps our operations running smoothly and supports our growth at scale.

What You’ll Do

• Set and execute the technical vision and engineering roadmap aligned with company goals
• Oversee development of our EHR platform, mobile apps & internal tools to enhance care delivery and user engagement
• Ensure system stability, scalability, and compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA and HITECH
• Lead and grow a remote-first engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and innovation
• Drive data initiatives across the tech stack, including business analytics and AI-powered tools, to support business intelligence and care outcomes
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Clinical, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution
• Manage engineering resources and budgets to optimize for both efficiency and impact

Who You Are

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role
• Deep experience with healthcare technology; behavioral health experience a strong plus
• Strong understanding of HIPAA, HITECH, and healthcare data security best practices
• Proven ability to manage the full product lifecycle—from concept to delivery and iteration
• Experience leading remote engineering teams and working within agile frameworks
• Strategic mindset with a strong bias toward action and delivering real-world impact
• Clear, empathetic communicator who thrives in collaborative, mission-driven environments

175,000 - 210,000 USD per year (Remote - Miami, Florida, US)

175,000 - 210,000 USD per year (Remote - Boulder, Colorado, US)
