Job summary

Beemac Logistics seeks a commercially driven Vice President of Specialized Logistics to lead our heavy haul, over dimensional, overweight, project, and high value freight business. This player‑coach role reports directly to the CEO, selling and pricing specialized freight, supporting sales reps, and owning shipments from booking through delivery.

Responsibilities include pricing complex freight, coordinating permits, and building carrier relationships, with a focus on risk controls and scalable

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in heavy haul, over dimensional, overweight, or project freight.
• Ability to price complex freight and negotiate carrier rates.
• Experience selling or supporting others in a sales or account management role.
• Existing book of business or relationships in heavy haul or project freight.
• Familiarity with TMS platforms and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of heavy haul and related freight from booking through delivery.
• Review dimensions, weight, routing, permits, and escorts before booking and stay involved during movement.
• Support sales reps, answer technical questions, and price specialized freight directly.
• Develop accurate quotes by evaluating carrier rates and routing costs; approve pricing.
• Build relationships with heavy haul carriers, permitting services, escorts, and vendors.
• Oversee high‑value freight risk controls including qualification, insurance, tracking, and escalation.
• Develop SOPs, KPIs, and training to improve service and scalability.
• Coach sales reps on qualification and pricing; partner with leadership to grow.
• Based in Beaver, PA office; travel to customer sites and carrier meetings.
