Job description

About Roivant's R&D Team

The R&D team is responsible for collaborating with Business Development to establish scientific rationales and develop strategies for in-licensing opportunities, focusing on oncology, immunology, and rare diseases. Additionally, they support the creation and advancement of portfolio companies and initiatives.

Position Summary

The Vice President of Clinical Operations will lead clinical development efforts across Roivant's portfolio and support the launch of new biotech subsidiaries. Key responsibilities include establishing and executing clinical trial strategies, managing cross-functional teams, overseeing CRO/vendor selection, ensuring compliance with GCP, and maintaining high-quality data collection. The role requires a proactive, collaborative leader with excellent communication skills and a strong track record in clinical trial management.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement clinical operations strategies, overseeing all trial phases and vendor relationships.
  2. Manage and mentor the Clinical Operations team, fostering a high-performance environment.
  3. Design geographic and site-specific approaches for global trial execution.
  4. Plan and develop operational strategies aligned with indication and phase-specific requirements.
  5. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive clinical program strategies and manage development plans.
  6. Ensure trial progress aligns with timelines, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  7. Serve as the clinical operations lead in strategic governance and portfolio planning.
  8. Lead data collection, reporting, and communication efforts for regulatory submissions and internal updates.
  9. Identify, qualify, and oversee CROs and vendors, establishing governance procedures.
  10. Maintain relationships with KOLs, investigators, and site staff to optimize trial conduct.
  11. Collaborate with Vant staff and provide scientific expertise in study design and interpretation.
  12. Develop scalable enrollment and geostrategy approaches, integrating new technologies.
  13. Communicate effectively with stakeholders through meetings, presentations, and reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years in clinical operations management, including trial leadership and vendor management.
  • Experience in developing clinical protocols and managing multi-phase trials.
  • Proven leadership in delivering trials on time and within scope, with a track record of managing dispersed teams and multiple vendors.
  • Deep understanding of FDA guidelines, GCP, and SOP development.
  • Strong strategic, organizational, and communication skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
