Job summary

Chase Auto is seeking a Vice President of External Communications to shape the external narrative for one of the nation’s leading auto finance businesses.

This role supports B2B communications for the Commercial Solutions business unit, with a particular emphasis on advancing the reputation and visibility of Commercial Solutions and will also provide ad hoc communications support to Auto’s other business units, including Private Label Captive Finance and Retail and Consumer.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of external communications, corporate communications, or public relations experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or communications.
• Proven success advising senior executives and developing B2B communications strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead external communications strategy for Commercial Solutions, aligning with enterprise priorities.
• Advise senior executives with strategic counsel on positioning, media engagement, and reputational considerations.
• Develop proactive narratives highlighting innovation, client partnerships, and industry leadership in consumer and commercial segments.
• Support media interviews, speaking engagements, and major announcements with executives.
• Own media strategy and cultivate relationships across national, financial, automotive, consumer, and trade press.
• Anticipate and manage reputational risk in coordination with Legal, Compliance, and Corporate Communications.
• Translate complex financial topics into clear, credible messaging for external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency with firmwide messaging and priorities.
• Monitor trends and media landscape to identify opportunities to differentiate the business.
• Oversee external agency partners and evaluate program effectiveness.
