Job description

This is a remote position. CGL is a provider of justice facility planning, design, and program management and maintenance solutions to justice facilities and other public facilities throughout the U.S. and internationally.

Brief Overview

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, the Vice President of Design spearheads new business initiatives and supervises all design activities at CGL. This critical position entails strategically directing design vision, optimizing workflows, and structuring teams to propel CGL to global excellence. The ideal candidate will showcase expertise in design principles, architectural concepts, methods, and building information modeling, contributing to CGL's advancement as a leader in the industry.

What you will do
  • Display strong project oversight skills including the ability to review and edit technical reports, presentations, and drawings.
  • Exhibit robust problem-solving and negotiation capabilities while independently pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Proficiently utilize CGL's internal Project Management protocols.
  • Exhibit senior-level knowledge with both employees and clients when discussing internal BIM standards and architectural methods.
  • Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the industry and among clients and peers, confidently speak at conferences, publish SME articles, and participate in or chair committees.
  • Independently prepare RFQ/P, and develop capture plans for project pursuits with strategic input from the Market Sector Director and/or ROL.
  • This position requires driving for the company using a company vehicle or a personal/rental vehicle more than 50% of the time.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture required.
  • Master's Degree in Architecture preferred.
  • 7-9 years supervisory and design experience required.
  • Competency in Revit, Bluebeam, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Rhino, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is a plus.
  • Must be detail-oriented, a self-starter, and able to prioritize and multitask in a busy environment.
  • Effective leadership and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff, officials, and clients.
  • Proficiency in life-safety regulations, building codes, zoning ordinances, and architectural standards.
  • Ability to identify, advocate for, and close new business opportunities.
  • Registered Architect (RA) required. Valid in-state driver's license required.
Compensation and Benefits

The hiring range is generally between $137,500 to $178,500, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. Final salaries depend on location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental, life, disability insurance, HSA/FSA, retirement, and rewards programs.

Additional Requirements

Must pass drug, background, physical abilities tests, and motor vehicle record checks as required.
