Vice President Design / Architect (REMOTE)

This is a remote position

CGL is a provider of justice facility planning, design, and program management and maintenance solutions to justice facilities and other public facilities throughout the U.S. and internationally.

Overview

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, the Vice President of Design leads new business initiatives and supervises all design activities at CGL. This role involves directing design vision, optimizing workflows, and structuring teams to achieve global excellence. The ideal candidate will have expertise in design principles, architectural concepts, methods, and building information modeling, contributing to CGL's leadership in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project activities including reviewing technical reports, presentations, and drawings.
• Demonstrate problem-solving and negotiation skills to pursue new business opportunities.
• Utilize CGL's internal Project Management protocols effectively.
• Engage with employees and clients regarding BIM standards and architectural methods.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert, speaking at conferences, publishing articles, and participating in committees.
• Prepare RFQ/P and develop capture plans for project pursuits with strategic input.
• Drive company initiatives using company or personal vehicles as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (required); Master's preferred.
• 7-9 years supervisory and design experience.
• Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and other software such as Rhino, Adobe Suite, and Office tools.
• Registered Architect (RA) and valid driver's license required.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and regulatory knowledge skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $137,500 - $178,500, plus potential bonuses. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and more. Details available at Benefits Overview.
