Ares Management Corporation seeks a Vice President for its Corporate Accounting team in Los Angeles. The role focuses on technical accounting, coordinating GAAP analyses, and influencing disclosures for complex transactions.

You will draft position papers, advise on structuring and reporting, lead policy updates, and mentor staff in a fast-paced environment. Strong collaboration with senior leaders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA required.
• 12+ years of relevant professional experience in public accounting and/or industry.
• Experience researching complex U.S. GAAP issues and drafting accounting position papers.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.

Responsabilités

• Serve as a trusted advisor on accounting implications of new products, transactions and initiatives.
• Lead technical accounting analyses for complex fund structures per ASC 810.
• Evaluate acquisitions and other arrangements for GAAP and disclosure implications.
• Communicate recommendations to senior management and external auditors.
• Lead adoption of emerging GAAP and SEC guidance; educate stakeholders.
• Ensure disclosures conform with GAAP and improve processes with automation.
• Mentor team members and foster accountability and learning.
