Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Student Center Entertainment & Programming Coordinator to design and run a lively entertainment schedule for the restaurant/pub space in the Bloomberg Student Center, Tuesday through Saturday.

This role partners with restaurant management to plan food and beverage specials, promotes events via marketing channels, hosts events, and coordinates with campus partners to create a welcoming, inclusive student experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Five years of related experience in event or campus programming.
• Experience coordinating events in higher education or similar settings.
• Must be at least 21 years old due to alcohol service at some events.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a regular weekly entertainment calendar for Tue–Sat nights.
• Book entertainment acts within budget and coordinate vendors and venues.
• Create and execute marketing strategies to promote events across channels.
• Collaborate with restaurant management on food and beverage specials tied to events.
• Host events as emcee and oversee on-site setup and breakdown.
• Support campus-wide engagement and coordinate with student organizations.
