Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 7+ years of related experience in political, historic, or cultural venue events sales and management.
• Additional education or experience substitutions allowed per JHU equivalency formula.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute key annual and special events including commencements, alumni and donor events, awards ceremonies, and large-scale campaigns.
• Appoint sub-committees, establish planning timelines and benchmarks, monitor progress throughout the planning period.
• Serve as chair of planning committees and provide guidance to sub-committees.
• Manage complex budgets, negotiate with vendors, and allocate resources with adherence to protocol.
• Hire, coach, train, mentor staff and manage performance and staffing needs.
• Provide administrative direction to staff for events and conferences services operations.
• Create and implement strategic planning and performance management processes for the designated area.
• Oversee digital production and virtual event orchestration using modern software and platforms.
