Job summary

The Centers, Inc. is hiring for on-site part-time Ambassadors at the Bloomberg Student Center, Johns Hopkins University. You will report to Operations Managers, supervise student staff, and support safety and guest services on shift.

This role emphasizes customer service, policy enforcement, and effective communication while guiding teams through daily operations in a dynamic campus setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Preference for current Johns Hopkins student.
• Experience in customer service, fitness center, retail or events preferred.
• Previous work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with on-shift supervision of part-time staff and provide feedback for performance coaching and work assignments.
• Perform routine facility rounds to supervise student staff, troubleshoot, and maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities.
• Respond to medical and non-medical emergencies, provide care, initiate emergency action plan, and notify university and local authorities; complete reports.
• Assist part-time staff with tasks and assume area responsibilities if not staffed.
• Communicate and enforce policies with patrons and staff.
• Provide excellent customer service, facility tours, and resolve guest concerns.
• Report injuries, incidents, and maintenance or staff issues.
