The Vermont Homelessness Response Continuum (VHRC) was launched on 9/1 to support Vermonters experiencing homelessness. As implementation has progressed, additional administrative capacity has been identified as necessary to support program operations and help ensure Vermonters receive timely, accurate, and high-quality customer service.
This temporary position has been approved through June 30th, 2027, and will provide administrative and operational support to the VHRC team. A primary responsibility will be assisting with theextension request process, including gathering necessary client information and documentation, creating, and sending out notices to support the timely processing of these requests.
Additional responsibilities may includepreparing and mailing client notices, reviewing and organizing client information and documentation, completing data entry, maintaining records and tracking information, assisting with program correspondence, and other administrative duties identified as necessary to support VHRC operations and implementation.
This position, VHRC Administrative Services Coordinator I - Temporary (Job Requisition #55856), is open to all State employees and external applicants. This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours, and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.
High School diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization.
OR
One year of full-time college coursework in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or closely related field AND one (1) year or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization.
OR
Two years of full-time college coursework OR and Associate's degree in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or closely related field.
OR
One (1) year or more of experience as an Administrative Services Technician IV with the State of Vermont.
NOTE: Only administrative work experience is qualifying. Administrative support includes those functions which keep the organization running or provide the resources for others to provide the programmatic work (e.g., accounting, budget management, grant administration, finance, human resources, payroll, purchasing, or space management).
For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required.
