Job summary

Mars, the company behind Royal Canin, seeks a Veterinary District Sales Manager for Columbus, OH. This field-based role requires residing within the territory and delivering Vet BU strategy through clinic opportunities and data-driven selling.

You will work cross-functionally to grow clinic access and veterinary recommendations while handling budgets and CRM reporting. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in sales (preferably B2B), veterinary clinic experience, strong communication and presentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B.
• Veterinary clinic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral and written).
• Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Overnight travel required, occasional weekends; approximately 20-30% travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate knowledge of our products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs and grow clinics within assigned geography.
• Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within assigned geography.
• Develop and deliver data-driven presentations to address veterinary staff needs.
• Collaborate with Account teams, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts and Scientific Affairs to meet objectives.
• Build partnerships and work collaboratively to meet shared objectives.
• Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy.
• Operate in a cross-functional team-based environment in fluid, changing contexts.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with Line Manager and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Manage an expense and sales budget; complete CRM and expense reports.
