Job summary

Lovet Pet Health Care is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our growing animal hospital in Glendale, CA. The role supports doctors with procedures, ensures high-quality care for pets, and delivers excellent client service.

The ideal candidate is a certified veterinary technician (preferred) with an associate degree in veterinary assisting (preferred) and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Training and career growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Certified veterinary technician certification preferred.
• Associate degree in veterinary assisting preferred.
• Familiarity with practice management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor with medical procedures, including surgery, while under direct supervision.
• Provide high quality care to all pets in the hospital’s care and deliver WOW service to clients.
• Assist in surgery care including pre-anesthetic protocol, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative care.
• Communicate with clients about their pet’s treatment and obtain informed consent for plans.
• Maintain medical records through the practice management software.
• Assist with medication dispensing, radiography, blood draws, catheter placement, vaccines, and animal restraint as needed.
• Set up, clean, and maintain medical equipment and hospital areas.
• Support hospital cleaning to maintain a hygienic environment.
