Qualifications

• College or college-equivalent education (completed) as required in becoming a Credentialed Veterinary Technician.
• Must have at least 1-year previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or working in a veterinary practice.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be compassionate and sympathetic and able to maintain a professional attitude.
• Must have telephone and computer skills.
• Must be a team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, obtain vitals, and document visits in the EMR.
• Assist veterinarian with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia.
• Restrain patients, process lab samples, dispense meds under vet direction, maintain EMR.
