Job summary

CityVet is seeking Veterinary Technicians in a role focused on high-quality patient care and efficient practice operations. A VT Assistant with at least one year of experience may be considered. Compensation is based on experience and education.

Responsibilities include pre-surgical prep, assisting veterinarians, sample collection, testing, and client communication. Full-time, on-site positions with strong staff support and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years of age at hire.
• At least 1 year of veterinary industry experience.
• Understanding and ability to properly, and safely, restrain animals.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and medications.
• Lift 50 lbs to waist height.
• Frequent standing, bending, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication & listening skills.
• Self-motivated & team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinarians - prep patients for surgery and monitor post-op.
• Obtain samples - collect stool, blood, and other samples for testing.
• Testing - perform tests and help interpret results.
• Administer medications - deliver prescribed meds, vaccines, or anesthesia as directed by the vet.
• Client communication - obtain medical information and provide care instructions to clients.
• Assist the Client Service Specialist team when needed.
