CityVet is looking for Veterinary Technicians to join our team. A Veterinary Technician Assistant will be considered with a minimum of 1-year experience. Compensation is based on experience and education.

The Veterinary Technician assists veterinarians, restrains animals, gathers samples, administers medications, and ensures clear client communication. This is a full-time role with a focus on compassionate care and efficient practice operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1 year of veterinary industry experience.
• Ability to properly and safely restrain animals.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and medications.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Good communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinarians by prepping patients for surgery and monitoring patients post-op.
• Restrict animals during exams and gather lab samples for testing.
• Administer prescribed medications, vaccines, and anesthesia as directed.
• Communicate medical information to clients and provide care instructions.
• Support the Client Service Specialist team as needed.
