Job summary

CityVet is seeking Veterinary Technicians to join our team. A Veterinary Technician Assistant will be considered with a minimum of 1-year experience.

Compensation is based on experience and education, reflecting our commitment to growth within a caring, pet-focused practice. Join us to help deliver exceptional patient care while supporting veterinarians and clients throughout daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
• At least 1 year of veterinary industry experience.
• Understanding and ability to properly, and safely, restrain animals.
• Knowledgeable on veterinary medical terminology and medication.
• Lift 50 lbs to waist height, with frequent standing and movement.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinarians by prepping patients for surgery and monitoring post-op.
• Obtain samples such as stool and blood for testing.
• Test samples and help interpret results.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the DVM.
• Communicate with clients and provide care instructions per plan.
• Assist the Client Service Specialist team when needed.
