Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our Vetco Total Care hospital team. You will provide exceptional veterinary care to patients while delivering outstanding customer service to their owners.

You will assist veterinarians, prepare patients for procedures, monitor anesthesia, maintain medical records, and support a cohesive hospital team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• College or college-equivalent education required for Credentialed Veterinary Technician status.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a veterinary practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be compassionate and professional under stress.
• Telephone and computer skills are required.
• Must be a team player willing to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, record vitals and history in EMR.
• Assist veterinarians with routine and emergency procedures, surgeries and dentistry.
• Restrain patients, collect samples, dispense medications as directed.
• Schedule appointments, educate clients, update records and manage accounts.
