Job summary

Community Animal Hospital of Royal Palm Beach is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our AAHA-accredited hospital. You’ll support veterinarians during exams, surgeries, and dentistry, prepare patients, monitor anesthesia, collect samples, and help educate clients.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician.
• Strong technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, laboratory diagnostics, and radiology.
• Excellent communication and client-service skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during appointments, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry.
• Prepare patients for surgery, including catheter placement, blood collection, and anesthesia support.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist during surgical and dental procedures.
• Collect and prepare laboratory samples for in-house and reference laboratory testing.
• Assist with radiographs and ultrasound procedures.
• Maintain sterile surgical instruments and equipment.
• Prepare exam rooms and accurately document patient histories and medical records.
• Educate clients on medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and discharge instructions.
• Answer phones and provide exceptional client service when needed.
• Collaborate with teammates to deliver outstanding patient care.
