  • Prepare rooms and provide detailed notes after visits.
  • Answer phones and handle inquiries.

Overview

Community Animal Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Technician. Role: Veterinary Technician. Status: Full-time. Schedule: 40 hours a week and every other weekend, or the needs of the practice. Salary: Negotiable and based on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Veterinarian with routine patient appointments and surgical procedures
  • Collect and prepare laboratory samples for in-house and offsite testing
  • Assist with radiographs and ultrasounds under the guidance of the attending Veterinarian
  • Set up, monitor and assist in dental/surgical procedures
  • Prepare and assist in surgeries, including catheter placement, blood draws, anesthesia monitoring
  • Ensure all surgical equipment is properly sterilized and stored
  • Prepare appointment rooms prior to scheduled patient visits, provide detailed medical notes following visit
  • Answering phones
Qualifications & Requirements

Applicant needs to be self-motivated, hard-working, and energetic for a busy day practice. We are looking for someone who is comfortable communicating with clients, is a great team member, has good phone presence, and knowledge of EzyVet veterinary software is a plus, but training will be provided if applicant is not familiar with this program.
