Job summary

Banfield is seeking a Shift Lead to supervise a veterinary support team and ensure high-quality client service in our Florida hospital. This role focuses on efficient patient flow, staff leadership, and supporting veterinarians in delivering exceptional care.

You will train paraprofessionals, manage day-to-day operations, and promote Optimum Wellness Plans to clients while maintaining compliance with hospital protocols.

Responsibilities

• Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services.
• Manage routing the flow of clients and pets to ensure superior client care.
• Maximize the number of pets seen by the hospital team through a productive and efficiently run hospital.
• Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service at all times.
• Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care, pet health needs and hospital services.
• Assist incoming clients by completing required documentation, entering all pet information and history in the computer.
• Assist outgoing clients by providing instructions and invoices, dispensing prescription items, selling retail products and scheduling future appointments.
• Manage the finances by maintaining accurate balances and opening/closing procedures.
• Act as the extra eyes, ears and hands for the veterinarian and veterinary technician to ensure quality pet care and productivity.
