Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Shift Lead to support the Practice Manager and Chief of Staff in guiding a team to deliver high-quality care for pets and exceptional client service. The role emphasizes following Banfield protocols, building a positive culture, and maintaining productive operations.

The Shift Lead will supervise daily activities, ensure quality medical care, and help educate clients about preventive care, wellness plans, and hospital services.

Qualifications

• Must believe preventive care is the best and only way to achieve a long and healthy life for each pet.
• Must embrace and thrive on providing exceptional client and pet experiences.
• Must be available to work weekend and evening shifts.
• Must be comfortable working in an environment with loud noise and strong smells.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a minimum of two years of veterinary hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of a Client Services Coordinator or Vet Assistant when not filling in or assisting the Practice Manager or Chief of Staff in guiding the team to maximize productivity and profitability of the hospital.
• Support hospital leadership to develop an efficient, productive team delivering high-quality care and service to pets and clients.
• Assist in scheduling associates to meet client needs and CE scheduling, while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
