Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospitals is seeking a Shift Lead to perform the duties of a CSC and/or veterinary assistant/technician, while providing leadership across shifts to ensure hospital productivity and excellent client care.

The role involves balancing paraprofessional tasks with leadership responsibilities, collaborating with Practice Manager and COS to maintain effective communication, and supporting hospital operations to maximize efficiency and patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or veterinary technician certification preferred.
• Two years experience (healthcare, veterinary profession, service-type industry) required, with six months experience at Banfield preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead paraprofessional staff and support hospital leadership across all shifts.
• Coordinate client and pet flow to ensure high-quality care and maximum productivity.
• Assist Practice Manager in staffing, training, and daily supervision of staff.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and Federal rules and hospital standards.
