Banfield Pet Hospitals is seeking a Shift Lead to perform CSC and veterinary assistant duties while providing leadership across shifts. You will support Practice Manager and COS, ensuring effective communication with clients, associates and leadership, and maximize hospital productivity.

The role blends 20% leadership duties with 80% paraprofessional responsibilities, including client education, scheduling, and assisting with procedures.

Formación

• Associate’s degree or veterinary technician certification/licensure preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Two years experience (healthcare, veterinary profession, service-type industry, etc.) required, with six months experience at Banfield preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Medical background (veterinary technician, human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.) with medical terminology training preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead paraprofessional staff and support hospital leadership to maximize productivity.
• Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and manage client/pet flow for optimal care and productivity.
• Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans and preventive care.
• Assist with surgery as applicable and ensure safety of pets and staff.
• Coordinate with Practice Manager and leadership to maintain communication and case flow.
