Job summary

Skylos Sports Medicine, a BluePearl Partner, is seeking a Veterinary Referral Coordinator to join us at our brand new building in Ellicott City, MD. The role offers a pay range of $24.30 to $32.25 per hour, dependent on experience and progression through our competency assessment tool.

The responsibilities include scheduling referrals, communicating with DVMs, managing specialty service emails, handling prescriptions with DVM approval, and providing post-procedural follow-ups.

Responsibilities

• Schedule new appointments for the assigned specialty ensuring DVMs have a record of new appointments.
• Resolve any case-related concerns prior to appointment.
• Maintain assigned specialty service emails and follow departmental email triage procedures.
• Gather pertinent information to ensure the client understands financial obligations.
• Act as primary point of contact for clients and potential clients in their assigned specialty service(s).
• Perform post-procedural and post-surgical phone call follow up with clients.
• Receive, process and fill prescription requests, with DVM approval, for assigned specialty services(s)
• Work with primary DVMs regarding requests and routine questions.
• Provide primary care DVMs bloodwork/test results to keep them informed regarding referred clients.
• Ensure necessary communication regarding treatment is provided timely and documented appropriately.
• Provide support to clinical staff in order to facilitate the administrative components of clinical referrals for various services.
