Harbor Animal Hospital is seeking a friendly Veterinary Receptionist to be the first point of contact for clients in a busy practice.

The role requires greeting clients, scheduling, payments handling, and record-keeping with a focus on compassionate service and teamwork. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous receptionist or customer service experience preferred.
• Veterinary or medical office experience a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Basic computer skills and comfort learning new software.
• Compassion for animals and their owners.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients warmly, in person and by phone.
• Schedule appointments and manage the daily calendar.
• Check clients in and out; process payments accurately.
• Maintain client and patient records in the practice management system.
• Handle multi-line phones, emails, and prescription requests.
• Communicate effectively with veterinarians and technicians.
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk and lobby area.
• Provide compassionate support to clients during stressful or emotional situations.
