Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a front desk, receptionist, or customer service role in a medical or veterinary setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with active listening and conflict resolution.
• Experience with appointment scheduling, multi-line phone systems, data entry, and payment processing or POS.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to learn new software quickly.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and in a team.
• Genuine affinity for animals and comfort in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients at the front desk; confirm appointment details.
• Manage multi-line telephone system; direct calls and inquiries about scheduling and services.
• Process payments, post charges, and schedule future appointments.
• Provide composed, compassionate service to clients experiencing distress about their pet's health.
• Enter data accurately and maintain organized records in the practice management system.
• Communicate with clinical staff; relay messages and flag urgent situations.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming reception and waiting area.
