An established industry player in veterinary care is seeking a dedicated Receptionist to join their compassionate team. This role involves welcoming clients, managing appointments, and providing emotional support during challenging times. With a strong emphasis on teamwork and communication, the ideal candidate will have at least two years of veterinary experience and familiarity with Cornerstone software. City Veterinary Care is committed to helping all of New York City's dogs and cats. We operate a non-profit organization, The Toby Project,the objective of which is to solveNew YorkCity's pet overpopulation problem (approximately 10,000 dogs and catslose their liveseach year in our city's shelter system). Our highly acclaimed veterinarians, our knowledgeable and caring front desk staff, and our skilled and compassionate veterinary nursingteam instill, with confidence, what every pet owner desires--the best possible care for their pets. We offer many services to provide the best comprehensive care to our patients including preventative care, vaccines & monitoring, dentistry, 24-hour nursing care, specialty care and State of the Art Equipment.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Greet and welcome clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns, answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution, schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, check in and check out clients and process payments. Our receptionists offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes.
Pay range:$24-28/hr
