Till-Newell Animal Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi is seeking a friendly receptionist to join our full-service team.

You will greet clients, answer questions, schedule appointments, and handle payments with compassion and professionalism. We strive to maintain a welcoming atmosphere and support families in caring for their pets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of veterinary receptionist experience.
• Compassionate, calm demeanor with strong communication skills.
• Excellent organization and basic computer skills.
• Self-motivated with desire to develop knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist clients and patients at the reception.
• Answer questions and triage client concerns.
• Schedule and coordinate appointments to optimize daily flow.
• Check in/out clients and process payments.
• Provide friendly emotional support and discretion during times of need.

Hospital Hours

Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Saturday–Sunday: Closed

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Maintain the visual appeal or the hospital reception area, greet and welcome clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns, answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution, schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, check in and check out clients and process payments. Our receptionists offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications

• Experienced Receptionist with a minimum of 1-year veterinary experiencepreferred
• Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
• Highly organized and possess computer skills
• Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.
