Job summary

Animal Medical Center in Hernando, MS is seeking an experienced Veterinary Receptionist to greet clients, answer calls, schedule appointments, and process payments in a fast-paced three-doctor practice. You will help maintain a welcoming front desk and support a compassionate team with excellent communication and multitasking skills.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of veterinary receptionist experience, be highly organized, and possess strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area and greet clients.

• Provide friendly emotional support and be comfortable with various medical outcomes.

Animal Medical Center is a well-established, progressive, fast-paced, three doctor companion animal practice in Hernando, Mississippi, with an additional location in neighboring Senatobia, Mississippi. We offer many services to provide the best comprehensive care to our patients including preventative care, surgery, dentistry, reproductive procedures, in-house diagnostics, digital radiology, and ultrasonography, in a clean, newly remodeled location.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain the visual appeal or the hospital reception area, greet and welcome clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns, answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution, schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, check in and check out clients and process payments. Our receptionists offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes.
• Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.
