Parmer Lane Pet Hospital, located in Cedar Park, Texas, has been serving the community since 2006. We are a full-service animal hospital providing veterinary care to dogs and cats. We welcome emergency treatment cases as well as pets in need of routine medical, surgical, and dental care. As a Receptionist, you will:
  • Receive and make calls to clients for scheduling purposes.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner.
  • Maintain proper documentation through client and pet records, including referral documentation and medical history.
  • Assist clients by providing instructions, information, invoices, dispensing prescriptions per veterinarian’s instructions, and scheduling appointments.
  • Use hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and team members.
  • Manage financial transactions accurately, follow cash and credit procedures, and handle opening and closing procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally.
  • Educate clients on pet preventative care, health needs, and hospital services.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and show empathy towards clients and pets.
  • Utilize standard office equipment effectively.
  • Possess knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays.
  • Experience with veterinary software is preferred.
  • Work independently and accept instructions on tasks.
  • Organize tasks efficiently.
  • Apply critical thinking to identify solutions and approaches to problems.
  • Communicate effectively with strong verbal and written skills, exercise good judgment, and manage stressful situations.
