Winter Hill Veterinary Clinic in Somerville, MA is seeking a compassionate Practice Manager to lead a busy, team-oriented hospital. You will set the tone for hospital operations, staff morale, and client service while partnering with doctors and technicians to maintain the highest standard of patient care.

The role oversees financials, HR, and scheduling, drives a positive work culture, and ensures efficient exam and surgery flow.

Formación

• Prior experience or training/education working in the veterinary field.
• Knowledge of day-to-day operations of a veterinary hospital.
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Leadership abilities – collaborative, yet able to work independently.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to handle complex and/or emotional situations.
• Strong organizational skills, capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing.
• Must be a people person who is kind and caring to all staff and clients.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the point person for staff questions and routine problems.
• Create a hospital environment that bolsters morale and retention of doctors and staff.
• Review monthly financials, oversee staff spending, ensure bank deposits are accurate.
• Oversee staff performance and salary reviews with input from Hospital Partners.
• Grow a positive work culture with excellent employee relations and communication.
• Ensure hospital has positive operational flow.
• Oversee compassionate patient care as the top priority.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure efficient exam and surgery flow and hospital operations.
• Assist Veterinarians and technicians as needed in patient care.
• Monitor OSHA and Safety program.
• Create requisitions for staffing needs, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Handle HR needs, disciplinary actions, and daily issues.
