Ayers Animal Hospital in Huntington, VA seeks an experienced Veterinary Practice Manager to lead day-to-day operations and support a dedicated team. You will balance people management, hospital operations, and client service in a fast-paced veterinary environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of management experience preferred or 3+ years veterinary experience.
• Knowledgeable in veterinary terminology and how to run a veterinary hospital.
• Compassionate, calm, team player, multi-tasker and strong communicator.
• Highly organized and possess computer skills.
• Self-starter with desire to advance knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop hospital team members through training and feedback.
• Partner with leadership on recruiting, onboarding, staffing, scheduling, and relations.
• Oversee daily hospital operations to ensure a welcoming environment.
• Address client and employee concerns professionally and promptly.
• Manage inventory, equipment, vendors, and purchasing to control costs.
• Ensure compliance with policies, OSHA, DEA/controlled substances.
• Ensure payroll and administrative processes are completed accurately.
• Support client service, scheduling, patient records, and communication with owners.
• Build relationships with team, doctors, clients, vendors, and community.
• Promote a positive culture focused on teamwork and patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
