Thrive Pet Healthcare's Horseshoe Lake Animal Hospital in Collinsville, IL seeks an experienced Veterinary Practice Manager to lead operations, staff development, and budget management. The PM will drive culture, efficiency, and excellent client experiences while collaborating with medical leadership and the Thrive network.

The role emphasizes capitalizing on strong leadership, empathy for clients and team, and scalable processes to support exceptional patient care and hospital performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hospital management or supervisory experience in Veterinary Medicine
• Bachelor’s degree in business and/or equivalent business experience
• CVPM encouraged to apply
• Sound personal judgment in decision‑making
• Capable of leading, managing, and coaching staff at all levels
• Demonstrated competence in budgeting and financial reporting, including reading and analyzing a P&L statement
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A commitment to outstanding client service
• Solid math and Excel/spreadsheet skills
• Ability to lift objects weighing 40 pounds without assistance and more with assistance

Responsibilities

• Oversees the business activities of the hospital
• Hi ring and training hospital staff
• Work with leadership and finance to prepare and manage budgets
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators
• Set fees and maintain inventory and an inventory control system
• Manage hospital software and implement safety procedures
• Contribute to operational excellence and client service improvements
